"We are living separately and we are much happier this way," they said in a joint statement to E! News. "'But we will always have much love and respect for each other. Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority."

The couple have two daughters--Kendall Jenner, 17, and Kylie Jenner, 16 and several other children from previous relationships. Kris is also a mother to Kourtney, 34, Kim, 32, Khloe, 29, and Rob, 26. Their father is the late famed attorney Robert Kardashian. Bruce has four children from previous relationships, including sons Brody, 30, and Brandon, 32 who became regulars on KUWTK Season 8
Kris told Us Weekly on Monday that they have been apart for one year.
"We are living apart," Kris told Us on Oct. 7. "But there is no animosity. We are united and committed to our family."
Kris made the confession the day after she was spotted on dinner date with Britney Spears' former manager and ex-fiance' Jason Trawick on Sunday. X17 Online published the photos of the pair together.
A source revealed if the pair decide to divorce, it could be a very expensive and "bitter battle"--Kris Jenner did not sign a prenup with the former Olympian athlete. Since the debut of KUWTK, she has amassed a fortune between the reality show and related endorsement deals.
"This is going to be a very bitter pill for Kris to swallow because when they divorce is finalized, she'll have to split half the family fortune with Bruce," a family insider told Radar Online. "Kris demanded that Kim and Khloe get prenups... but in a touch of irony, she didn't get one when she married Bruce."
"Bruce was the primary bread winner, and he provided Kris with a luxurious lifestyle when they were first married," a source explained. "He had endorsement deals and was a very popular motivational speaker. But as the Kardashian brand and fortune grew, Bruce joked to Kris that she should have gotten a prenup so he couldn't take anything from her. Never in her wildest dreams would Kris have ever anticipated she could be losing the family fortune she worked so hard for. She won't give it up without a fight."
