Pop star Taylor Swift is taking her musical skills and knowledge up a notch.

She opened the $4 million Taylor Swift Education Center at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, TN. Saturday morning. The I Knew You Were Trouble singer made it official and cut the ribbon at the opening, according to Huffington Post. Swift gave reporters and even local high school students a sneak peek of the classroom and showcase area.

During an interview she said, ""I'm so glad this is becoming a space where that's readily available. There will be demonstrations and instruments kids can try without having to spend money and buy one for themselves. If they want to hear a songwriter talk about what it is to craft a song, the fact that that can happen here is really unbelievable," reported The Tennessean.

If you're ever checking out the school, don't be surprised if you see Swift hanging out.

"We've been talking about different programs I can be involved in," Swift said. "I hate to call it a lecture because that sounds like I'm yelling at people, but we could do a Q&A talking to students here and a songwriters discussion would be really fun to have at some point."

The Tennessean also reported that Swift's $4 million donation is the largest the museum has ever received since opening its doors 46 years ago.

Nashville Mayor Karl Dean expressed his appreciation of Swift's generous donation.

"There's been a lot of press lately about Nashville being the 'it' city," he said. "This city is truly proud that Taylor - the 'it' superstar of the times - got her start and calls Nashville home."

Swift was also honored with her record sixth songwriter-artist of the year award from Nashville Songwriters Association International Sunday.
