Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici have picked a wedding date.

The Bachelor season 17 stars announced on Good Morning America on Monday that they will walk down the aisle on Jan. 26, 2013 -- and it will air live on television. It is the first Bachelor wedding to air live.

Lowe explained that they agreed to air it live on television because they wanted to share the experience with their fans.

"The Bachelor is such a cool experience because people at home feel like they know us and they're invested in our relationship," he said GMA. "We have no problem sharing the actual wedding with everyone who has been with us so far."

Giudici, a graphic designer from Seattle, said she would like a traditional wedding with a lot of fun afterward.

"I just want it to be fun, and show our love," Catherine said on GMA. "A traditional type of ceremony that just sort of unifies us . . . then we want to have a party!"

Giudici revealed some of the former contestants from the season of The Bachelor she won will attend. She shocked the GMA co-anchors when she said one of her competitors, Lesley Murphy, will be one of her 12 bridesmaids.

Giudici later told PEOPLE that she has yet to pick a wedding dress.

"I haven't found my dress yet," Giudici told PEOPLE. "I know I want it to be form-fitting ... Not too princessy."

Lowe said as far as ideas for the reception, he is letting Giudici handle the decision-making for it.

"It's about family and friends celebrating our marriage. And that's really my only input," Lowe told PEOPLE. "I'm letting Catherine make most of the decisions."

The couple moved to Lowe's hometown, Dallas, in August. The couple live separately for the time being because he is a born-again Christian and will move in together after they wed.

"We're stronger than we've ever been," Lowe said about the August move. "And not to sound too clichéd, but I fall more in love with her every day. Watching Catherine walk down the aisle will be the best moment of my life."

Lowe proposed to Guidici in Thailand in the season finale that aired on March 11. According to Reality Steve the episode taped in November, 2012.

"It's really exciting," Lowe told PEOPLE. "Time has just flown by - I think January is going to sneak up on us pretty quickly!"
