West Coast rapper Game left Interscope Records and signed with the Cash Money Records made up of Birdman, Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj and more.

Birdman made the announcement on Twitter

"S/O 2MY@thegame Westcoast makit Official.RICHGANG.YMCMBusine$," tweeted the Cash Money CEO on Oct. 12.

The Game responded with, "@BIRDMAN5STAR time to close the door on these ni**as !!!! R$CHGANG."

Birdman revealed in spring 2012 his interest in signing the rapper during an interview with Complex magazine. He added, however, that he was not pushing Game to make a haste decision.

"I don't like to get into talks with other people who are signed to other labels because I wouldn't want them ni**as f**king with nothing that's mine. So I show respect to whoever they with I know that I told Game, if the time come I would love to sign Game," he said. "I think he's a very talented artist. But right now he's signed with Interscope, maybe he's got another album. But when time comes, I'm gonna be there for him too."

The Compton rapper, 33, released five No. 1 albums with Interscope including his 2005 debut The Documentary, which was released in conjunction with G-Unit Records.

Game said in November 2012 that Rick Ross had displayed interest in signing him up after his contract ended with Interscope.

"This is my last studio album for Interscope," Game told MTV's Sway during an episode of RapFix Live. "I was talking to Ross, and Ross was like, 'What's up with that last album?' And I'm like, 'You know, it's the last album.' And he was like, 'Nah, never mind, Jimmy ain't gon' let you go.' So that and talking to [Cash Money's] Baby and [Lil Wayne] two times a week, you know, it's cool. I kinda feel like a little free agent in the league real quick."

"I'm just gonna ride it out with Interscope and stay loyal to them and really get this Jesus Piece album going and then make my decision later on," he said at the time.
