Bruno Mars' 'Gorilla' Video Stars Freida Pinto as Sexy Stripper, Watch
The music video for Bruno Mars' Gorilla features a sexy Freida Pinto in a role that she has never played before.
The new clip, which premiered Tuesday on Mars' Facebook page, shows the actress as Isabella, a dancer in a South of the Border strip club. The Slumdog Millionaire star struts across the stage, flaunts her moves up and down the pole and sheds her clothes in one scene which such sex appeal that it literally caused the joint to short circuit.
Luis Guzman cameos as the club's owner while Mars and his bandmates serve as the house band. The singer has scenes where he and Pinto passionately get at each other in the back seat of a Caprice.
Mars is credited for co-directing the video with Cameron Duddy. The clip is deemed appropriate considering the song's highly sexual subjet matter. Bruno sings in the chorus, "You and me baby making love like gorillas."
"You got your legs up in the sky/With the devil in your eyes," he sings. "Let me hear you say you want it all/Say it now, say it now."
The track is off Mar's 2012 album Unorthodox Jukebox. The record includes the hit songs Locked Out of Heaven, Young Girls and Treasure.
Gorilla went up 11 spots to No. 26 on last week's Billboard Hot 100 chart. Mars will headline the upcoming Super Bowl halftime show in February. He performed Gorilla at the MTV Video Music Awards in August. The singer's Moonshine Jungle world tour continued on Tuesday night at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam.
