Anna Faris and husband Chris Pratt have announced that they are expecting their first child. Faris' representative confirmed the news with E! News. The couple have expressed to various media that they wanted to have children, despite their busy schedules.

Faris told E! News last year that she would love to have eight kids, before adding, ""I don't think I could handle it, though!" She said she did not know when but that the couple wanted to "populate". She also told People, "Chris wants a big family."

Anna Kay Faris, 35, is known for starring in the Scary Movie film series. She also starred in Brokeback Mountain and My Super Ex-Girlfriend. She was previously married to Ben Indra, before separating in 2008 citing irreconcilable differences.

Faris will be appearing with Sacha Baron Cohen in "The Dictator" which will hit theaters May 16.

She met Chris Pratt, 33, on the set of the comedy Take Me Home Tonight. They got engaged in January 2009 and married in July that year in a small ceremony in Bali. Pratt stars in "Parks and Recreation" and will be appearing with Channing Tatum in Ten Year this September.
