Miley Cyrus to Perform at the 2013 MTV Europe Music Awards; Paul McCartney Defends Cyrus' VMA Performance [VIDEO]
Miley Cyrus will be performing at the 2013 MTV Europe Music Awards, which will be held in Amsterdam on Nov. 10.
MTV announced that Cyrus will be performing along with the likes of Katy Perry and The Killers, who had previously been announced as being part of the lineup.
While this bit of news has got fans and the press wondering if Cyrus will in some way reprise her controversial VMA's performance, Sir Paul McCartney recently expressed his views about the whole VMA's fracas.
"I think it was only mildly shocking," McCartney said. "So what? Come on, we've seen worse than that!"
Cyrus is also up for four nominations. She is a contender in the categories for best pop, best female artist, and best video (for her single Wrecking Ball). Lady Gaga will be competing with Cyrus for best female artist.
Cyrus' partner in crime at the MTV VMAs, Robin Thicke, also has four nominations. But Justin Timberlake, Ryan and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are ruling the roost with five nominations each. Timberlake has been nominated for best male artist, best live performer, best video (for Mirrors), best US act, and best look.
This year Justin Bieber has been nominated for three awards -- best pop, best Canada act, and best male.
The awards will take place at Amsterdam's Ziggo Dome. Will Ferrell will also be appearing as Ron Burgundy, his character from The Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. The sequel to the film Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues is set for release on Dec. 20.
Redfoo of LMFAO will be emceeing for the night.
