Despite breaking up with her boyfriend of two years, Sofia Vergara looked happy and content at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine's 58th Annual Spirit of Achievement Awards at the Plaza hotel in New York City.
According to PEOPLE, the actress seemed in the "best mood". The Colombian hottie was invited as jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz's guest. An onlooker told PEOPLE: "Mother's Day is this weekend, and she talked about her son and how proud she is of him and how he's such a nice kid. No matter who came up to her table, she was taking pictures and people were being introduced to her."
US Magazine quotes Vergara as saying: "I'm very happy. I love Lorraine's stuff, so it's wonderful to be here to enjoy this day with her."
Vergara attended the Met Gala bash on Monday without Nick Loeb, and had reportedly confided to her friends that they have separated.
However, New York Daily News is reporting that a source who knew the couple said Vergara was a "self-centered diva b****" and that she "hated the fact that Nick got so much attention when he wanted to run for Senate" and was reluctant to pose for photos with him or "say anything nice about Nick."
