FOX wants more of the workplace hijinks in Brooklyn's 99th Precinct.

The network has picked up the additional back nine episodes of its freshman comedy, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, according to IGN.

"It's exciting to see that both critics and fans love Brooklyn Nine-Nine as much as we do," Kevin Reilly, Chairman of Entertainment at FOX said in a statement. "With Andy [Samberg[ and Andre [Braugher] out in front of this incredible ensemble, it feels like this show is going to be around for a long time."

To give the show even more of a boost, Reilly also announced that the show would join New Girl as part of a special one-hour comedy block set to air immediately after Super Bowl XLVII on February 2, 2014.

The show received early praise even before the first episode aired, with the Hollywood Reporter saying it "gets the formula right immediately...It's broad, but funny because it's broad-you get the tone immediately and go with it."

The magazine also praised the show for having a "solid" script and "well-drawn" characters.

The show's premise is about a ragtag bunch of detectives in Brooklyn's 99th precinct who previously goofed off as much as possible when they weren't solving cases. The leader of the group is Jake Peralta (Samberg), who despite his immaturity, has the highest arrest record. The group needs to get into shape though when they become the responsibility of a new captain (Braugher).

The ensemble cast also includes Stephanie Beatriz, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Joe Lo Truglio, Chelsea Peretti, Dirk Blocker, and Joel McKinnon Miller.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine airs Tuesdays at 8:30 p.m. on FOX.
