Adele Gets Drivers License, Instructor Had No Idea She Was Famous 'I didn't know who Adele was'
Adele is now part of the driving community!
The 25 year-old Rolling in the Deep singer passed her driver's test with flying colors on Friday Oct. 11.
She tweeted her excitement, "I passed my driver's test this morning!" and posted a picture on Instagram of her Practical Driving Test Pass Certificate with the caption, "Somebody passed her driving test today! #soproud"
Apparently she did it all incognito with, Noel Gaughan, the man who taught her how to drive, not knowing she's an Oscar and Grammy-award winning singer, Yahoo! News reported.
"I didn't know who Adele was so she started singing in her lessons. The problem was I didn't know an of her songs...She would sing some beautiful songs and say 'you must know this one' but I don't really know many celebrities," the 49 year-old instructor told South West News Service.
Adele showed her appreciation for Gaughan's teaching skills on twitter.
Gaughan is pretty comfortable with instructing celebs behind the wheel at his school Intensive Courses in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire. Edward Dwane of Mumford and Sons, James McAvoy and Gemma Arterton are just some of his former A-list celebrity students; along with One Direction's Niall Horan, who Gaughan also said he didn't know was famous until their car stopped at a light and screaming fans went into a frenzy.
Gaughan admitted, "That made driving difficult."
He touts 46 year-old Notting Hill actor Rhys Ifans as his funniest driving student so far.
"When we got to the test centre, he walked up to the examiner and said 'Shall I drop my pants now?' ."
