Rebel Wilson on Body Image, Empowering Women: 'I Don't Really Care What I Look Like That Much'
It's no secret Super Fun Night star Rebel Wilson is on her way to becoming a megastar and while she might not have the typical "Hollywood" look, she admitted in an interview with Extra that she doesn't care.
When asked about being comfortable with who she is and empowering other women to feel the same, Wilson answered, "I don't think I'm very vain."
"Even though I'm on a TV show, I don't really care what I look like that much," she said. "I think women out there should just be happy with the way they look. They shouldn't really try to conform to any kind of stereotype. Just be happy and hopefully healthy and all is good."
While she might feel pressure to have a lean and thin figure in Hollywood, she said staying healthy is more important.
"Sometimes. I mean you see other actresses like 'I can't really eat much lunch today cause I've got that scene in my underwear... [But] you need your stamina. So I don't ever want too unhealthy because writing the show, starring the show and producing you need like, a lot of energy."
She also talked about what happened when she tried a weight loss system.
"It didn't really work out. Whoops."
While she plays a lawyer on Super Fun Night, her talent goes beyond the screen: Wilson has a law and arts degree. She would also love to have Channing Tatum play her potential love interest, she admitted.
