With little known Jamie Dornan set to replace Charlie Hunnam as the new Christian Grey in the movie adaptation of E.L. James' Fifty Shades of Grey, many fans have already began making comparisons between the two.

However, it appears that loyalists of the racy read aren't the only ones voicing their opinions on just how the easy on the eyes Irish actor stacks up against Hunnam.

On Oct. 24, Hollywood Life speculated on whether there's a possibility that Anastasia Steele actress Dakota Johnson may have had better chemistry with Hunnam.

However, the entertainment site reported the contrary; producers of the saucy flick think that the 31-year-old will make a better Grey than Hunnam.

"Jamie is Christian and has a thousand times more chemistry than she had with Charlie, and she had chemistry with Charlie. Everyone is happy with the results," stated a source.

The 31-year-old actor even received the approval of Johnson, who actually played a part along with the producers and the studio in choosing the next Christian Grey.

"Dakota was in constant contact with producers and the studio and was very willing to help out in any way. She was exteremely hands on, no pun intended. Dakota had a pretty amazing read with Jamie," added the source.

Fifty Shades screenwriter Kelly Marcel stated that she'd be adhering to the original content of author James' books with lots of sex and raunchiness. The highly anticipated movie is scheduled to launch in theaters on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2014.
