'X-Men: Days of Future Past' PHOTOS: New Stills Spoil the Return of Cyclops?
Several new photos from X-Men: Days of Future Past were released Friday, featuring the blockbuster film's various stars.
There are multiple photos, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly and Empire, that feature Jennifer Lawrence as shapeshifting mutant Mystique. The character's yellow eyes stand out her blue, scaly skin.
However, there is one photo that may have revealed a secret about a certain character being in the film. The photo features Lawrence holding a clapper while not filming. Various characters are featured on the clapper, most of which are already known to be in the film.
There is also one other character on the clapper: Cyclops, famously played by James Marsden in the original X-Men trilogy. The actor previously said that he likely wouldn't return to reprise his role in the film, but it's possible that they do not want to ruin a surprise for fans.
Another photo features Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) shirtless with multiple bullet wounds visible on his torso. As he is able to withstand this pain, he sits in a chair with a blank expression on his face and clutching a bottle of alcohol. Jackman also appears in another photo with young Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and young Charles Xavier (James McAvoy).
Fassbender and McAvoy are also featured in a photo in which their two characters play chess, an activity fans of the franchise are familiar with them doing. Older Magneto (Ian McKellan) and Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart) also appear in one of the photos.

X-Men: Days of Future Past is scheduled for release in theaters on May 23, 2014.
