Lou Reed, rock legend and the founder of the Velvet Underground died at the age of 71, in Long Island New York on Oct. 27.

The cause of the singer-songwriter's death is not known yet, but he did undergo a liver transplant in Cleveland in May.

A lot of celebrities took to Twitter to express their shock and dismay at Reed's demise and also about the great impact the musician's oeuvre had on their lives:
