Celebrities in Music Videos Before Famous; Featuring Angelina Jolie, Courtney Cox, Christina Hendricks & Matt LeBlanc [VIDEOS]
Jared Leto just released a video for his band's, Thirty Seconds to Mars, new song City of Angels featuring some of his famous friends.
The video stars Kanye West, Lindsay Lohan, Selena Gomez, James Franco, Olivia Wilde, Alan Cumming and the Olsen Twins.
The song is an ode to Los Angeles and celebrities featured in the clip talked about their relationship with the city as well as their early struggles as artists. Some got their first acting gigs in music videos, and Enstars compiled a list of music videos featuring celebrities before they made it big.
1. Angelina Jolie -- Anybody Seen My Baby (Rolling Stones)
Jolie played a diva in a 1997 video for one of the world's most legendary bands. She plays Mick Jagger's elusive muse wearing various diguises, including an obese lady suit.
2. Christina Hendricks -- One Hit Wonder (Everclear)
A much younger and slimmer Hendricks is seen wearing short hair in the video. She plays an aspiring contestant in a 1970's-styled game show. In the clip, Hendricks ends up hitting the jackpot.
3. Courtney Cox -- Dancer in the Dark (Bruce Springsteen)
This was not Cox's only appearance in a music video -- the other one being in the Counting Crows' Long December -- but it was her first and at a time when she was completely obscure. Cox plays a really excited fan girl who gets pulled on to stage by Bruce Springsteen, and the two dance into the dark.
4. Wesley Snipes -- Bad (Michael Jackson)
Snipes was already preparing to play the bad-ass action hero while starring as the leader of the gang opposing Jackson's in the famous video for Bad.
5. Matt LeBlanc -- Walk Away (Alanis Morissette) and Miracle (Bon Jovi)
In the video for Walk Away, LeBlanc portrays a careless boyfriend to Morissette when she was still stuck in her dance-pop phase. In Miracle, he played a member of Bon Jovi's rugged biker group, who stops in a village in Mexico and falls in love with one of the local girls.
6. Alicia Silverstone -- Crazy (Aerosmith)
Silverstone claims that this song actually gave her her big break, as she got picked up to star in Clueless right after studio executives noticed her in the Aerosmith video. She starred in the video with Steven Tyler's daughter, actress Liv Tyler.
7. Jennifer Lopez -- That's the Way Love Goes (Janet Jackson)
An aspiring pop diva getting some experience on the set of an established pop star's video seems to be the right way to go. Though Lopez just appeared as one of Jackson's dancers and friends in the video, she made quite an impression in those few seconds of screen time she got.
