Supermodel and Project Runway host Heidi Klum left behind the jewels and glamour of her costume last year to instead dress as an old lady for Halloween on Thursday.

Klum showed up at her annual Halloween bash at Marquis Theatre in New York City dressed as an elderly and becomes almost unrecognizable. She walked the orange carpet at her event in a multi-colored tank, patterned skirt, pumps, pearls and a cane. The detailing in her makeup -- on not just her face, but all over her body -- completed the look.

The America's Got Talent judge wore a bald cap with a gray wig, had varicose veins created all over her legs, wrinkly prosthetics and a hunched spine applied by makeup gurus Bill Corso and Mike Marino.

Klum teased the entire process of her transformation throughout the day with her Twitter followers. She captioned the first photo, "Ok guys ..... here I go into the future," and continued to reveal glimpses of her costume without completely giving her it away until a few hours ago when she revealed the costume with fans.

"Happy Halloween !" she wrote, adding, "little old me."

For her 2012 Halloween party, Klum dressed as Cleopatra and, again, was almost unrecognizable as her entire face was covered in sparkles. She had on a gold and elaborately detailed headpiece, including a wig, a long gold gown with a plunging neckline and a metallic, winged cape.

Her holiday bash last year was postponed to Dec. 1 due to Hurricane Sandy. Corso worked on her makeup last year as well and New York-based costumier Martin Izquierdo helped create her look.
