The Hunger Games: Catching Fire might break box office records according to early estimates from experts.

Hunger Games studio Lionsgate is projecting the highly anticipated sequel to make between $140 and $150 million domestically in its opening weekend. The film, which comes out on Nov. 22 in the United States, might have the most successful November box office opening of all time, beating The Twilight Saga: New Moon's $142.8 million opening in 2009.

Other publications are reporting that the opening gross may be even higher than that already great $150 million total. The film has the potential to cross the $175 million mark in its first weekend according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Crossing the $175 million mark would give Catching Fire the second highest overall debut of all time behind 2012's The Avengers ($207.4 million). The Hollywood Reporter also claims that some experts are projecting it to be even higher, predicting upwards of $190 million.

Assuming The Hunger Games: Catching Fire sells more tickets than its wildly successful predecessor, it could be on track to be one of the top 10 highest grossing films of all time.

In 2012, The Hunger Games totaled $408 million domestically and $283 million in foreign territories, bringing its grand total to $691 million. It is current ranked 14th on the all-time most successful movies in the U.S. In order for Catching Fire to be the most successful film of the year in the U.S., it will have to beat Iron Man 3's domestic total of $409 million.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will be released in theaters on Nov. 22.
