Jessica Alba's Marie Claire June 2012 Cover: Was She Photoshopped? [PHOTO]
Jessica Alba's Marie Claire June 2012 cover has sparked some criticism that the magazine's editors photoshopped the beautiful actress.
"The whole cover seems washed in a bright pink haze, and something seems a little robot-y about it to us," the Huffington post wrote.
Some people were outraged because they said Alba is a beautiful actress and doesn't need to be "retouched."
"Why in the world would anyone need to airbrush, touch up, or adjust anything on a picture of Jessica Alba?" one reader asked.
Alba says in the issue that she felt “objectified” as a young actress after she was marketed as a “sexy, tough action girl” but she wanted to be different.
“I had a show that premiered when I was 19. And right away, everyone formed a strong opinion about me because of the way I was marketed. I was supposed to be sexy, this tough action girl. That’s what people expected… I felt like I was being objectified, and it made me uncomfortable. I wanted to be chic and elegant!," she told the magazine.
In the case of Alba's Marie Claire cover the changes are not so evident. However in the past digital modifications are immediately obvious.
Recently, Jennifer Love Hewitt made headlines after she got a digital breast reduction in ads for the TV series "The Client List."
Also an ad campaign for cosmetics line Helena Rubinstein featuring Demi Moore showed the actress appearing without a single wrinkle and silky smooth skin.
In an ad campaign for Nutrisystem, Janet Jackson looked extremely thin with a weird waist line. The ad immediately send the web into a frenzy.
Zac Efron, Kate Upton and Beyonce are among many other celebrities that have been photoshopped for the worse.
