'The Mentalist' Season 6 Spoilers: Can Lisbon Stop Jane From Killing Red John? Is The Tattoo More Than A Random Marker? Sneak Peek VIDEO
Although Patrick Jane's search for Red John is quickly coming to a close, Mentalist fans are experiencing a bit of a delay in the fast paced investigation.
Due to NFL football schedules last Sunday, the "Fire and Brimstone" episode was pushed back a week while a rerun took its place. However, thanks to a new promo for the following episode, "The Great Red Dragon," a few new enticing spoilers have leaked out.
In "Fire and Brimstone," Jane (Simon Baker) has a plan to round up all five remaining suspects and get them to reveal whether or not they have a three-dot tattoo on their left shoulder. Although he promises Lisbon (Robin Tunney) that she can be there when he uncovers Red John's identity, it looks like the former psychic will take a shotgun and head off on his own, according to a behind the scenes video.
"All these years, Jane's always said, 'I'm going to kill that bastard,'" said series creator Bruno Heller, according to TV Guide. "Lisbon's always said, 'I understand you want to do that, but I am the law.' Now that issue is not a theoretical one, it's a real one."
While Lisbon and Jane have a heart-to-heart at one point, the CBI Agent can also be heard warning Jane that if he goes through with his plan, he will be throwing his life away. Once the Red John suspects are gathered however, an explosion may eliminate someone as Lisbon rushes to stop Jane from acting as judge, jury, and executioner. How far is Jane will ing to go to exact revenge for the murder of his family?
Meanwhile, new information reveals that the three-dot tattoo may not be a Red John exclusive. With the ink marking possibly related to the "Tyger, Tyger" conspiracy, Lisbon's entire CBI team is in danger, according to a promo for "The Great Red Dragon."
