Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert Split Rumors, PHOTOS of Tabloid Claims as Couple Denies Problems in Their Marriage
Rumors continue to surface about country stars Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert heading to a divorce.
The speculation has included claims of Shelton cheating on the singer and also vice versa: of Lambert being unfaithful to The Voice coach.
The accusations heightened when Shelton was seen at Usher's birthday party in October with actress Lindsay Sporrer, according to Radar Online. The pair even posted photos of them together on their Instagram accounts. After the photos were revealed, The National Enquirer reported that Shelton and Lambert were "heading for a $40 million divorce!" The publication added that Sporrer was the cause of the divorce.
Shelton dismissed divorce rumors on Twitter. He tweeted on Oct. 25, "I just read back to back NEW stories that Miranda Lambert and I are having a baby, divorcing, cheating and feuding with Cher. Must be true!"
"If it costs 40 million dollars to get a divorce then how will we ever afford it?!!!" he added. "We had that money set aside for health care!!!"
Shelton and Lambert, who married in May 2011 and so far have no children together, both took home wins at the Country Music Awards on Nov. 6: he won Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year for Based on a True Story... while she won Female Vocalist of the Year.
Before the awards ceremony, Lambert praised her husband for being very smart when he wants to be.
"He jokes a lot of the time - he's not serious very often, but he's really smart," she told Access Hollywood. "And when he chooses the moments to be serious and has ideas, and kind of suggests things to me about my career or something I'm doing, I listen, because he's been at it a longer than I have, too."
Lambert added that she admires Shelton's work ethic and the success he has had as a country artist. She said, "I respect him not only as my husband, but as another artist that's really successful."
