'Days of Our Lives' Spoilers: Alison Sweeney & James Scott Dish On Sami & EJ's Up-And-Down Relationship
NBC's hit soap, Days of Our Lives, continues to garner viewers at a large rate.
An ongoing hot topic in the show is seemingly the up-and-down relationship between Sami (Alison Sweeney) and E.J. (James Scott).
Sweeney and Scott recently sat down and spoke in a conversational manner about the peaks and valleys of their two characters' romance on the small screen.
"It's an interesting backstory because our characters have never been together. I mean they've been together in the biblical sense, but they've never been a couple on the show," she said.
Scott chimed in on the topic of the two being an item, and also took the time to elaborate on typical relationships as a whole on the popular program
"It gets interesting. You get different couples on the show. They stay together and then they break up, but what makes EJ and Sami unique is whether they stay together or break up, they tend to continue to have some communication, and if it can't be love, it's war," he said.
Sweeney attributes Sami's attachment to E.J. as a testament to her character's dark side, which she says sucks her back into the arms of him.
"From Sami's perspective, he [E.J.] is the dark side. He always pulls her towards who she is as opposed to who she strives to be because she's always been told by her family that she needs to work harder to change who she is," she added.
