'Man of Steel 2' News: First Artwork Coming Soon for 'Batman vs. Superman' Movie? [VIDEO]
Official artwork for the highly anticipated Man of Steel 2 a.k.a. Batman vs. Superman might be revealed as early as Saturday, according to new reports.
On Saturday, Nov. 9, director Kevin Smith is hosting a panel with Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill (who plays Superman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane) and director Zack Snyder. At the panel, the world should expect to see the first artwork from Man of Steel 2.
"There's two things, there might be announcements during this show and the one thing I do know is there's artwork going to be on this show that may or may not have something to do with a movie that's coming up," Smith teased in a recent episode of his podcast.
Smith then confirmed that he was indeed referring to Man of Steel 2. The anticipated blockbuster is still in the early stages of filming, with stars Cavill and Ben Affleck (who is playing Batman) busy filming other projects.
Snyder and company have already filmed a scene at East Los Angeles College's football stadium. In the scene, the football teams at Gotham City University and Metropolis State University face off in a game.
Additionally, the film crew may already be filming scenes at "Kent Farm," the location of Superman's adoptive mother Martha Kent (Diane Lane). Locals have speculated that the crew if filming secretive scenes for Man of Steel 2, considering it was the exact location of the original Kent Farm.
Man of Steel 2 is scheduled for release in theaters on July 17, 2015.
