FANS REACT TO JOSHUA LEDET'S DEPARTURE

We are just minutes away from the final two contestants being announced.

Lisa Marie Presley made a guest appearance on the show, performing her new single, "You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet". This was her first performance on American Idol. Ryan Seacrest introduced her as "rock royalty."

Ryan Seacrest also paid tribute to the Queen of Disco, Donna Summer, who sadly passed away from cancer today.

Former Idol Contestant Adam Lambert performed "Never close our eyes".

The pressure was on as the remaining three contestants fought to keep their spot in the finale as they performed in last night's show.

The live results show kicked off tonight with crowds cheering on as the top three performed a song the judges picked, then a song of their choice and a song chosen by mentor, Jimmy Iovine.

Joshua Ledet, Jessica Sanchez and, Phillip Phillips looked nervous during their performances A video of their hometown visits last weekend was shown amid the performances.

Adam Lambert, former contestant of American Idol's season 8 and Lisa Marie Presley are performing on the results show tonight. The Top 3 are singing 'Gotta Get You Into My Life'.

Ledet and Phillips both received standing ovations last night but the predictions as to who will be safe tonight are very diverse.

Jessica's rendition of Mariah Carey's "My All" earned rave reviews by the judges.

"When you sing, you make people hang on your every note. I hope you just get used to encore. ... In another crazy way, you'll be the last one standing here, I believe," judge Steven Tyler told her.

Ledet's rendition of Etta James "I'll Rather Go Blind" also amazed the judges.

Steven Tyler called it "another Joshua moment".

Phillips' performance of "We Got Tonight" earned a standing ovation from the judges.

Jackson said it was his best performance so far in the competition.
