'Dumb and Dumber 2' Cast News: Jeff Daniels Reveals Filming is Ending, What Do We Know So Far? [VIDEO]
Filming on Dumb and Dumber 2 is officially ending, according to star Jeff Daniels.
Daniels tweeted "Two weeks left on #DumbTo. Here's hoping it's as funny as it feels..." on Sunday, indicating that the sequel to 1994's Dumb and Dumber is very close to being done with filming. The film reunites Daniels with Jim Carrey almost 20 years after filming the popular comedy.
In Dumb and Dumber 2, Carrey and Daniels reprise their roles as Lloyd and Harry, respectively, two dim-witted but loyal friends. Though few plot details are known so far, here is everything we know so far about the comedy sequel:
Dumb and Dumber 2 is officially titled Dumb and Dumber To, using intentionally incorrect grammar to match the characters' mental limitations. The film features Lloyd and Harry searching for one of their daughters in the hope of getting one of her kidneys.
Other members of the cast include Jennifer Lawrence and Kathleen Turner as younger and older Fraida Felcher, respectively. The Walking Dead star Laurie Holden also stars as Adele Pichlow, the film's main villain.
Texas Rangers baseball pitcher Derek Holland will be appearing in the opening scene of the film.
Several photos have been taken from the set of Dumb and Dumber 2, including footage from a scene that features Lloyd and Harry driving Zambonis.
The Farrelly brothers, who directed the film, said that they may potentially make more Dumb and Dumber movies if the sequel proves to be successful with audiences.
Dumb and Dumber 2 is scheduled for release in theaters in 2014, though a specific date has not yet been set.
