Mark Wahlberg said the upcoming installment of Transformers will be completely different than its predecessors, he told Access Hollywood Tuesday, Nov. 12.

Spekaing at the premiere of his new film, Lone Survivor, the actor took a moment to describe what fans can expect from Transformers: Age of Extinction,

"I think it's very different and fresh and people are going to really enjoy it. I had a blast making it," he said. "And you're going to see things in this particular movie that you haven't seen in the other movies."

Wahlberg's film Lone Survivor is an action war film written and directed by Peter Berg (Friday Night Lights, Collateral). It also stars Eric Bana, Emile Hirsch, Ben Foster and Alexander Ludwig. Based on real events, the movie tells the story of a failed mission by a SEAL team to capture and kill a dangerous Taliban leader during the war in Afghanistan.

"It takes place after the third one, after the battle of Chicago. It's definitely its own story," Wahlberg said of the film, out on limited release Dec. 27 with a full release on Jan. 10, 2014.

Walhberg is also working on a docu-series for A&E with his brother Donnie called Wahlburgers. The show, which also featured his other brother Paul and mother Alma Elaine, follows them building their family business.

"My brother is an amazingly talented chef and it's going to be awesome," Mark said. "We've already shot a bunch of it and it's really cool."

Jack Reynor is the lead character of Transformers 4 and will be playing a race car driver. Nicola Peltz acts as Reynor's girlfriend in the film and Wahlberg will portray Flynn Vincent, Peltz's father. Kelsey Grammer will be playing the role of Harold Attinger, a counter-intelligence agent who is the main antagonist in the film.

Transformers: Age of Extinction hits theaters June 27, 2014.
