Raven Symone has responded to media rumors claiming that she is a lesbian and is dating model AzMarie Livingston.

She wrote: "I'm living my personal life the way I'm happiest. I'm not one, in my 25 year career, to disclose who I'm dating. And I shall not start now. My sexual orientation is mine, and the person I'm datings (sic) to know. I'm not one for a public display of my life."

She continues: "That is my right as a human being whether straight or gay. To tell or not to tell. As long as I'm not harming anyone...And my career is the only thing I would like to put on display, not my personal life."

A report by MediaTakeout, who claims to have gotten the dish from National Enquirer, said: "She's at a point now where she doesn't care what her family thinks, and she's in love with AzMarie. She's a lesbian and wants to live that way."

The 26-year-old actress/singer has appeared in the "The Cheetah Girls", "Cosby Show" and "Hanging' with Mr. Cooper".

She currently stars in Broadway musical "Sister Act" as Deloris van Cartier. The role was previously played by Patina Miller and Whoopi Goldberg. This is not the first time Symone has done Broadway. She first appeared at the age of five, singing with the Boys Choir of Harlem. Sister Act premiered on Broadway in April 2011.

AzMarie Livingston appeared on "America's Next Top Model" 2012 and was the sixth girl to be eliminated this season after declining to participate in the "booty tooch" activity with Tyra Banks. She told Zap2it: "When [Tyra] was like you gotta wear the pad, I don't know, everything in me just kind of shied up and I backed away. I was like, no, I'm not gonna do this."
