Miley Cyrus Bambi Awards 2013 PHOTOS, Covers Up on Red Carpet Before 'Wrecking Ball' Performance, VIDEO
Never shying away from showing some skin, Miley Cyrus instead opted for a demure and covered up look on the red carpet at the 2013 Bambi Awards Thursday, Nov. 14 in Berlin.
The 20-year-old wore a black Jean Paul Gaultier gown that had long sleeves, a high neckline, and an oversized circular collar and cuffs. She paired the look wtih an oversize pearl necklace and black pumps.
The singer later changed into a more revealing ensemble for her performace of Wrecking Ball. On stage she wore a neon yellow ensemble that featured high-waisted shorts and a crop top that showed off her midriff. The top also had blue panels hanging from its shoulders. In the same outfit Cyrus came on stage to accept her award for International Pop.
The annual Bambi awards honors celebrities from the world of entertainment, literature, sports and politics. Watch Cyrus' performance of Wrecking Ball in the video below.
While defended her tendency to wear revealing outfits, Cyrus told BBC Radio One, "I feel like I'm one of the biggest feminists in the world."
"Because I tell women not to be scared of anything," she added. "There's absolutely no contradiction at all between being a feminist and taking your clothes off and being comfortable about displaying your sexuality."
