Kanye West Rant VIDEO During 'Yeezus' Tour, Talks About Bruno Mars, Oprah & 2013 MTV Video Music Awards
During his concert at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on Wednesday, Kanye West went on a rant about the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards and targeted Bruno Mars and Oprah Winfrey.
"Bruno Mars won all the motherf---ing awards and sh-t. And I was thinking about what Rick Rubin told me, because I don't give a f--k about no TV show," he said after explaining that the producer told him to just perform and leave.
West, who had his face covered and wore a trench coat, continued: "What I care about is if you're an artist and you work hard as f-ck and the streets say that you deserve that sh-t. Can't no motherf---ing networks try to gas everybody up so they can sell some product with the prettiest motherf---er out. I still ain't see a video better than Beyonce video to this mother f---ing day."
The 36-year-old then mentioned Oprah Winfrey.
"I sat down with Oprah and she said, 'They scared of you 'Ye, they scared of you 'Ye,'" he said. "She didn't say I wasn't the most talented, she just said you have to learn how to fail."
He then went on to slam the tabloids and the people who negatively comment on blogs.
The rapper embarked on the Yeezus tour, his first solo tour in five years, in October and will play shows until December. The last show will take place on Dec. 23 in Toronto, Ontario.
