American Idol is down to two contestants Tuesday night, a twist in the show that usually aired the performance episodes on Wednesdays.
This time the winner will be revealed Wednesday.
Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez will battle it out today in the most anticipated performance show of the season.
Sanchez, 16 is from San Diego, CA. She has musical influences from Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Beyonce and Etta James.
Her favorite male artist is Eminem and her favorite female artist Beyonce. She dreams of performing on the Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Throughout the season judges have praised Sanchez for her "fantastic" and talented voice. When she was nearly ousted from the competition, the judges used their save vote to keep her on Idol and they have no regrets.
Sanchez has nailed performances of Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey on the show.
Phillips, 20 is from Leesburge, Georgia. He was influenced by Ben Nail, his brother-in-law and dreams about collaborating with "The Roots."
Phillips' favorite male artist is Jonny Lang and his favorite female artist Hayley Williams.
Judges have praised Phillips for being a "true artist" and have applauded that he always stays true to himself.
