Liam Hemsworth Cheated on Miley Cyrus Referenced in 'Bangerz' Tracks? Lyrics Talk of Betrayal, Abandonment & More
Though it has not been confirmed that Liam Hemsworth cheated on Miley Cyurs during their 15-month engagement, many of the singer's tracks on her new album hint to betrayal she may have experienced in her personal life.
The former couple broke up in September following cheating rumors. Hemsworth had a fling with Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez and she reportedly played a part in the Hollywood couple's split. The We Can't Stop singer is responsible for ending their relationship and did so because she believes Hemsworth was unfaithful, a source told Life & Style in September.
When Cyrus saw a photo of Hemsworth and Gonzalez together in Las Vegas, she reportedly broke up with him via text and seconds later un-followed him on Twitter.
He defended himself against media scrutiny in an interview earlier in November, saying, "What I always keep in mind is that I know what the truth is and that's all that matters," he said in his defense. "I know I'm a good person."
Sean Garrett worked with Cyrus on the album and told EnStars that certain songs focus on the singer's personal life. Bangerz was written while Cyrus was still engaged to Hemsworth and many wonder if its tracks were inspired by strains on their relationship and the ultimate end of their engagement.
She sings about her man not being there when she needs him in Drive; in SMS, Cyrus talks about not wasting time waiting for a man who is indecisive; and in Wrecking Ball she pleads while saying, "don't you ever say I just walked away/I will always love you."
On FU, Cyrus sings "you went around/and did what you wanted to do...I found the love that I thought was gonna last/but then I accidentally saw a few things in your cell/I even LOL'd, man I should've known."
"I was over it the second I saw her name," the 21-year-old sings later in the song.
On My Darlin' Cyrus talks about being hurt by something she wanted to marry: "I walked through a pool of water and I seen the shadow of a broken-hearted girl/Pictured us walking to the altar, for better or for worse."
From Drive: "Send me roses, I just let 'em die/ I was crazy thinking you were mine...But all broken promises I won't miss/underneath, all I know are the facts."
Bangerz is out in stores now.
