Jennifer Aniston has apparently found comfort in her ex-husband Brad Pitt, who helped get through a difficult time in her relationship with Justin Theroux. At least according to a new, almost comical, story from OK! magazine.

"Jennifer Aniston's sad demeanor since fiancé Justin Theroux moved to New York to work on his own projects has made her ex-husband Brad Pitt reach out across the miles," a source reportedly told the tabloid.

The tabloid claims that Pitt urged Aniston not to "panic" about her tumultuous relationship with the actor. Aniston then opened up to a concerned Pitt, who called his ex-wife to comfort her.

"Brad still knows Jen probably better than anyone in the world," the alleged source told the magazine. "He's very perceptive and can tell she's been having a tough time lately, which is why he decided to reach out to her."

Gossip Cop, the website that debunks false reports, said the story is completely fabricated and added that OK!'s reporting has become "truly pitiful."

Jennifer Aniston Shows Off A New Haircut

Aniston has become one of the tabloids greatest targets, especially when it comes to her relationship with Theroux. The We're The Millers star previously shot down all the allegations that she's having relationship troubles with Theroux, with whom she's been engaged to since 2012.

"We have yet to set any dates. There have been no canceled weddings. There have been no postponed weddings. There have been no arguments about where to get married. Just clearing all that up," the 44-year-old actress told The New York Daily News in July. "We just want to do it when it's perfect, and we're not rushed, and no one is rushing from a job or rushing to a job... and, you know, we already feel married."
