Heath Ledger's Treehouse Sold to Hunger Games Star Josh Hutcherson
Heath Ledger's treehouse has reportedly been sold to Josh Hutcherson of "The Hunger Games". The treehouse, which is actually just a house that is surrounded by dense foliage - was previously owned by Ellen Degeneres, whom Heath bought it form in 2005.
The 1,861 square-foot house was built in 1951. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms - which Heath paid $3 million for. The home, set on almost an acre of land, has fantastic views and internal wooden structuring. The house, set in the Hollywood Hills, was listed for $2.995 million last year. It is not known whether Hutcherson paid the full asking price.
Heath resided in the house with girlfriend actress Michelle Williams in 2008, who nicknamed the place "treehouse". The actor tragically passed away in New York that same year after an accidental prescription drug overdose. He was found unconscious by his housekeeper, who called his friend Mary-Kate Olsen, for help. A NYC private security guard was called to the scene by Olsen. But Heath was not breathing and was pronounced dead shortly after. Heath, 28, had a daughter with Michelle in 2005.
Hutcherson, 19, recently had surgery to fix his broken nose. He has appeared in "Little Manhattan" and "Zathura" and adventure film "Firehouse Dog" but his big break only came recently in "The Hunger Games" which has been a box office hit.
Hutcherson briefly dated Vanessa Hudgens, who co-starred with him in "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island".
