Lady Gaga performed with the Muppets for her ABC Thanksgiving Special, Lady Gaga & the Muppets' Holiday Spectacular, which also featured guest appearances by Elton John and Kristen Bell.

The singer-songwriter sang songs from her latest album, Artpop, and also spoke about the trials of life on the road as well as her love of the holidays.

Gaga also suggested that she had grown up watching the Muppets and was in love with Kermit the frog, who was also her date at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

"So excited to have Kermit and The Muppets on my Thanksgiving special tonight! I wonder if @RealMissPiggy is going to show up?" Gagatweeted before the show aired.

The 27-year-old has also had a working relationship with the Muppets. Jim Henson's Creature Shop created pieces for Gaga's Monster Ball tour in 2010. She also wore an outfit with many Kermit toys hanging off of it in 2009, to take an anti-fur stand on German TV.

Lady Gaga & the Muppets' Holiday Spectacular was Gaga's second holiday special. Gaga made her first special in 2011, A Very Gaga Thanksgiving, which was filmed at the Convent of the Sacred Heart in New York City. The special featured guests like Katie Couric, Art Smith, and Tony Bennett. Other than her hits, Gaga performed holiday classics, including White Christmas and Orange Colored Sky.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt and RuPaul also guest starred on the show.
