Will Smith Says Reporter Trying to Kiss Him Was Just Awkward
Will Smith has spoken out for the first time about slapping a Ukrainian reporter at the Moscow premiere of his latest movie Men In Black III. He spoke in last night's "Late Show with David Letterman" about the incident.
He said: "I didn't beat up a guy! We're doing an interview and he says, 'I'm your biggest fan, can I have a hug?'.. So I go to give this joker a hug, and he tries to lean in and kiss me. It's just awkward. "They were saying, 'We're sorry, that's just his schtick'... Well.. that's why his ass got schtuck."
Will Smith reportedly slapped Vitalii Sediuk across the face has been caught on tape on TMZ. The video shows the reporter trying to kiss the actor on the lips. Smith seemed really angry and annoyed that he tried to kiss him and back-slapped the reporter. He seemed to say: "Hey come on man, what the hell is your problem man?"
Afterwards Smith says to reporters: "Hey.. sorry, he tried to kiss me on my mouth. He's lucky I didn't sucker punch."
Smith has been busy making the rounds in Europe for the premiere of his latest film "Men in Black 3".
