Fast and Furious 7 has cancelled its scheduled shoot for Monday in Atlanta as actors, movie producers and studio executives cope with the sudden death of Paul Walker.

According to The Wrap, Director James Wan, producer Neal Moritz and Universal executives have been busy on the phone since Walker died in a fatal car accident Saturday evening.

Walker was supposed to return to Atlanta this week to shoot some scenes, as he was one of the lead characters of the film. The production was also slated to travel to Abu Dhabi later month.

The movie was more than halfway finished when Walker and business partner Roger Rodas were killed in a car wreck in California. Walker, along with the cast were on a Thanksgiving break when Rodas' Porsche GT crashed into a tree and bursted into flames.

Walker starred as Brian O'Conner, an undercover cop turned car thief and criminal. He and Vin Diesel starred in the first movie more than 10 years ago, and have since appeared in all but one film - The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.

Walker's co-star of the film, Tyrese Gibson broke down in tears Sunday when he arrived to the site of the deadly car crash that took the actor's life. The singer left a yellow flower behind while taking a piece of the wreckage left at the scene to always remember his friend.

He later posted on Instagram a heartfelt message dedicated to Walker.

"At least I got to say I love you.... #OurLastExchange but our laughs and moments will live forever #ThisIsWorstThanMyWorstNightmare #GodiLoveYouAndiwillneverquestionYou.... But this I just don't understand #PaulForeverFamily #MyHeartHurtsSoBad please pray for his daughter and family...," he wrote.

"I will keep your energy with me forever #AshesOfAnAngel fast family around the world we live you and we love you Paul is the heartbeat of this franchise and were gonna see to it that his energy and presence lives on forever #myhearthurtssobad."
