'Fast and Furious 7' Star Tyrese Gibson at Paul Walker Crash Site, PHOTOS & VIDEO: Cries at Memorial Site as He Mourns Costar's Death
Tyrese Gibson, Paul Walker's co-star in Fast and Furious 7, broke down into tears when he went to pay his respects at the crash site of Walker's death.
Gibson still seemed to be reeling from the shock, as the grief-stricken star took rounds of the site where Walker's fatal accident took place. Holding on to a couple of yellow flowers, Gibson wore an expression of dismay and disbelief, eventually breaking down as he knelt by the various flowers and gifts that crowded the space.
"I will keep your energy with me forever," Gibson wrote on Facebook, sharing a photo of him holding a piece of the car wreckage of the 2005 Porsche Carerra GT.
Gibson also posted on the social media website a screenshot of his last text message conversation with Walker, in which the costars wished each other a happy Thanksgiving.
Walker died on Nov. 30 in a car crash in Santa Clarita, California. He was the passenger in a car being driven by his friend, race car driver Roger Rodas, who also died in the accident. The speeding car hit a tree and instantly burst into flames, causing both the actor and Rodas to die on the spot. The actor was headed home after attending a charity event for his foundation, Reach Out Worldwide.
Walker's 15-year-old daughter was also present at the charity event.
The 40-year-old actor was halfway through filming Fast and Furious 7.
