Robert De Niro Co-star Says He's Shy, But Do His Film Roles Show It? [EXCLUSIVE]
One of Robert De Niro's former co-stars said the actor is quite shy off camera, but would you be able to tell from his many movie roles?
Mary Steenburgen and De Niro starred alongside Michael Douglas, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Kline in Last Vegas. The film is about three 60-something-year-old friends who take a break from their everyday lives to throw a bachelor party in Las Vegas for the last one of them still single. In Sin City they meet hotel singer Diana (Steenburgen), who two of the friends later fall in love with and try to win over.
While talking to Enstars on Nov. 3 about being the only woman on set, Steenburgen said, "that was really nice. All guys I really love and all guys I've wanted to work with so that was really special for me."
"They're more wonderful than one might even guess," she added. "They're all funny in their own way. Different styles: Kevin's more out there, Bob's a little shyer, and Morgan and Michael are somewhere in between that spectrum."
Would De Niro fans guess that the one time "Godfather" is shy in real life? Enstars compiled a list of the actor's films in which he plays a character that does not have the word "shy" in his vocabulary.
