Paul Walker Car Crash: Suspect Arrested for Stealing Porsche Wreckage from Scene of Death [VIDEO]
Police arrested an 18-year-old on Friday, Dec. 6, for allegedly stealing a part of the wreckage from the scene of Fast and the Furious star Paul Walker's fatal car crash.
Jameson Witty reportedly followed the truck that towed the wreckage from the site of the accident to an impound yard for further investigation. When the truck stopped at a red light, Witty quickly stole the removable roof of the car and sped away, according to LA Weekly.
The Tujunga, Calif. native is currently being held in prison in lieu of $20,000.
Here's the description of the scene as stated in the official police statement:
"At one point the driver of the tow truck stopped at the red light E/B Newhall Ranch Road at McBean Parkway. A witness saw a male exit a vehicle that was following the tow truck. The male grabbed a piece of the wrecked Porsche off the tow truck bed. The male drove away with the stolen vehicle part. The tow truck driver reported the theft to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station."
The detectives are likely to charge Witty with grand theft and tampering with evidence.

Walker died on Nov. 30 in Santa Clarita, Calif. The 40-year-old was the passenger in a car being driven by his friend, race car driver Roger Rodas, who also died in the car crash. The speeding car hit a tree and instantly burst into flames, causing both the actor and Rodas to die on the spot.
The actor was headed home after attending a charity event for his foundation, Reach Out Worldwide. He is survived by his daughter Meadow, 15.
