Eminem New Album in the Works; Says Hip-Hop Needs Slaughterhouse
Eminem has confirmed in a radio interview with Peter Rosenberg of New York City's Hot 97 that he has started to work on his new solo album. "Well, right now, I'm finishing up everything on the Slaughterhouse album and kind of getting into my next record a little bit. There's basically a couple things I've been working on. I'm starting to toy."
This will be the latest album from Eminem since "Recovery" in 2010.
The 39-year-old rapper also told the radion station that his Hip Hop group Slaughterhouse will be participating at this year's Summer Jam concert. "Yeah, well, I actually talked to the guys, and they wanna do it so, I mean, I guess we'll just make it official?"
Slaughterhouse will be performing at the Summer Jam concert June 3. The group consists of Joel Ortiz, Joe Budden, Crooked I and Royce da 5'9". Their new album "Welcome to: Our House" will be released on June 12. Eminem says: "I really feel this group... like you said, I really feel like hip-hop needs this, man. I think people will see when this album comes out too."
Eminem paired with Royce da 5'9" as the hip hop duo "Bad Meets Evil". He is called the King of Hip Hop by Rolling Stone and has sold over 90 million albums worldwide. He has over 55 million likes on Facebook and his two albums "The Eminem Show" and "The Marshall Mathers LP" were certified diamond by the RIAA.
