Beyonce New Album 2013 Hits Number 1 in the World [VIDEO]
Beyonce's newest self-titled album is still creating buzz after the Pretty Hurts singer shocked fans and released the project on Instagram late Thursday night.
It is currently dubbed the number one album in the world out of 100 countries on iTunes less than 48 hours after its release. This breaks a record that One Direction set after their project Midnight Memories snagged the top spot in 97 countries. It is also predicted that Beyonce's album will take Billboard's 200 top spot when that list is released Wednesday.
Beyonce's project, which is compiled into 14 brand new songs and 17 videos, sold 80,000 copies in the first three hours alone, though she opted out of doing any promotion for the album like releasing a single or even an interview. It features her husband and iconic rapper Jay Z, their daughter Blue Ivy and musical greats like Pharrell Williams, Frank Ocean and Justin Timberlake.

New York Times raved about the album calling it "steamy, sleek and full of erotic exploits and sultry vocals...."
While Entertainment Weekly says it is one that holds a healthy balance when it comes to the emotional side of music. Los Angeles Times held a similar opinion and stated that "the music similarly blends the intimate and extravagant."
However, Chicago Tribune does not forecast that a top ladies anthem will come out of this album like her previous songs Crazy In Love, Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It) and Irreplaceable. The publication gave the album three out of four stars.
In a statement Beyonce revealed why she decided to release this project this way
"There's so much that gets between the music, the artist and the fans. I felt like I didn't want anybody to give the message when my record is coming out"
