Update as of 2pm: Beyonce's new album has sold over 828,000 units since Friday.

Beyonce's new surprise album is expected to hit No. 1 on the music charts after only three days.

The 32-year-old Grammy-winning singer surprised fans by releasing her self-titled album on iTunes exclusively on Friday, Dec. 13, without any prior announcement or advertisement.

"I didn't want to release my music the way I've done it. I am bored with that. I feel like I am able to speak directly to my fans. There's so much that gets between the music, the artist and the fans," Beyonce said in the album's announcement early Friday morning. "I felt like I didn't want anybody to give the message when my record is coming out. I just want this to come out when it's ready and from me to my fans.

Beyonce is expected to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts. Its official Nielsen SoundScan sales figures through the end of the tracking week of Dec. 15 will be revealed in the middle of this week, according to Billboard.com.

The album, which contains 14 songs and 17 music videos, will be available to purchase through the iTunes Store until Dec. 20. It sold 430,000 copies by Friday night and an additional 120,000 on Saturday.

Beyonce's second best album B'Day, released in 2006, landed at No. 1 with its full week sales of 541,000 copies.

Meanwhile, the singer has officially released three singles off the new album: Blow, Drunk in Love featuring Jay Z and XO. On Saturday she gave Chicago a treat when she performed XO for the first time. Before singing the new track, she told her beloved audience the following:

"I'm gonna sing this song, it's a brand new song and it hasn't even been out for 24 hours. I'm gonna sing it for y'all because it was written for y'all but I can't sing it alone. This is the first time and I'll never forget it."
