Beyonce's new album won't be sold at Target when it hits stores on Friday.

The Drunk in Love singer dropped her surprise album, BEYONCE last Friday on Dec. 13.

Since the release, Beyonce has succeeded to shatter the iTunes record in US sales for the fastest selling album in just three days. The one-week iTunes record was previously held by Swift at 617,000 when she released RED. Coincidentally Beyonce's album release happened on the same day as Swift's 24th birthday.

On Tuesday, Target released a public statement saying that they wouldn't be stocking their shelves with BEYONCE.

"At Target we focus on offering our guests a wide assortment of physical CDs, and when a new album is available digitally before it is available physically, it impacts demand and sales projections," Target spokesperson Erica Julkowski told Billboard.

She continued, "While there are many aspects that contribute to our approach and we have appreciated partnering with Beyonce in the past, we are primarily focused on offering CDs that will be available in a physical format at the same time as all other formats. At this time, Target will not be carrying Beyonce's new self-titled album BEYONCE."

In 2011, Target collaborated with Beyonce on an exclusive promotion for her 4 album.

**CORRECTION**

A previous version of this article cited a Mediatakeout report alleging that Swift took it personally that Beyonce released her hit-album on the same day as her birthday and Swift had her camp put pressure on Target not to carry Beyonce's album. However a representative for Taylor Swift told Enstars that Mediatakeout's report was fabricated. Mediatakeout has now deleted its report.
