Jennifer Lawrence Talks Maids, Wetting The Bed, and 'American Hustle' On 'Conan' VIDEO
Despite her poise on screen, Jennifer Lawrence seems to get into a disproportionate amount of bizarre situations, possibly due to her hyper nature and affinity for saying whatever pops into her mind.
With a nickname like Nitro (short for nitroglycerine), it's no surprise that the 23-year-old actress can liven up an interview like no other - something Conan viewers realized very quickly on Wednesday night as she launched into a stories about butt plugs and the time she announced to her middle school that she wet the bed.
I was unstoppably and uncontrollably hyper, which of course isn't happening now. I grew out of it," Lawrence joked to Conan O'Brien in regards to her bubbly personality. "I couldn't be stopped by medication or anything...It didn't even make a dent."
Despite her best efforts to try and contain her boundless energy while in school, Lawrence had as little then as she does now. While this exuberance translates to exemplary results on screen, the actress admitted that if acting hadn't worked out, she would want to be a maid.
"Definitely, I would be a hotel maid because its all of my favorite cleaning because I don't like dishes, I don't like the kitchen, but I love beds and bathrooms an spraying and going through everyone's stuff," Lawrence explained, citing that her nosiness would not be too uncommon a trait for a maid.
In fact, a maid once took the time to organize and display a hidden box of the Academy Award winner's joke butt plugs.
"Somebody, as a joke, bought me a bunch of butt plugs," Lawrence explained, trying to contain her laughter. "And then the maid was coming so I was like, 'I'll just shove this under the bed so she doesn't see all these but plugs, she might not know they are for a joke.' And then I came back and all of them were brought out of the bed and were in a beautiful display on my dresser."
When Lawrence isn't hiding items from the cleaning staff or accidentally introducing a former president as "Gill," she can be seen in films like American Hustle, which is in theaters now.
