Serena Williams' Reaction to Stunning French Open Loss [VIDEO]
Serena Williams fought back tears at a press conference after losing against French tennis player Virginie Razzano at the French Open Tuesday.
Tennis fans are calling it the most stunning first round upset in a Grand Slam.
Williams led 5-1 in the second set and came within two points of victory nine times but she lost the game 4-6, 7-6(5). It was the first time in her career that she loses in the first round of a Grand Slam tournament.
"I just gotta go back and figure out what I did wrong and don't do it again. Learn from it. I think that's the best I can do," she told reporters in a press conference today.
"I've been through so much in my life, and...I'm not happy by no means," she said as she paused to fight tears back. "I just always think things could be worse," she added.
Williams, 30 returned to tennis last year after undergoing two foot operations and blood clots, among other health scares.
Razzano ranks 11th and she has never been past the fourth round at a Grand Slam tournament.
