Christina Aguilera posted a picture on Twitter Tuesday that teased about her new music.

"Working on something special...Happy Holidays to all!!" The Voice coach captioned a shot of herself recording in the studio.

Aguilera took to the stage with Lady Gaga earlier in December for an epic duet of Do What U Want on The Voice and her most recent collaboration in the studio was with A Great Big World for Say Something, which is topping music charts across the board.

The indie pop act and Aguilera performed the ballad together at the 2013 American Music Awards and also on episode of The Voice in November. That same month, Aguilera explained why she wanted to work with the group.

"This song Say Something sort of is coming to me at a time when I'm feeling very inspired," she explained. "I'm only taking on projects that feel good to me and represent as always a purpose of the here and now in my life and that's what this song Say Something actually does for me.

A Great Big World is made up of Ian Axel and Chad Vaccarino. Say Something was previously released without Aguilera but when her team heard the track, they contacted the duo to create a new version of Say Something with the pop star.

The band talked to The Hollywood Reporter in November about what it was like recording the song with Aguilera.

"We could not be happier with how [Aguilera] did, how the recording came out. It's amazing," Vaccarino said on the pink carpet of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, where the band performed the song on the runway. "We actually were thinking that she would take a verse and do all this belting stuff at the end, but she didn't want to do that, she wanted to let the song just be. It makes you kind of feel the longing [of the song]."

Axel added, "She wanted to let it breathe and just be open, and we've never heard her sound so vulnerable. From what she's told us, she's in a different place in her life, and she only wants to take on projects that inspire her, so we're super honored."
