Jessica Simpson Joins Weight Watchers as Newest Spokesperson
Jessica Simpson seems ready to debut her post- pregnancy self as she just announced that she will be the newest spokesperson for Weight Watchers. The new mom tweeted: "So excited to be a part of the @WeightWatchers family!"
Simpson has not been spotted in public since the birth of her daughter Maxwell Drew on May 1. She is to have gained almost 75 pounds during her pregnancy which was in fact ten days overdue. Her daughter weighed nearly ten pounds.
According to TMZ, the Jessica will reportedly get $4 million for the new Weight Watchers deal. The fashionista seemed happy and so did Weight Watchers as they also released a statement saying: "We're thrilled that Jessica Simpson has chosen to join Weight Watchers to adopt a healthier lifestyle and inspire others to do the same."
The news comes just as the first pictures of Jessica Simpson and her newborn daughter are released in the latest issue of People magazine. Simpson and Maxwell Drew, both dressed in white, graced the cover of this week's issue.
Simpson reportedly received $800,000 from the publication to release their first official photos. In this month's issue, the fashionista talks about how her life has changed with the birth of her first child.
"My life has completely changed. From how I sleep to what I think about, Maxwell has definitely taken over everything!" She added that the happy parents cannot get enough of their daughter.
