Who is the FBI's mole and where has Raymond 'Red' Reddington disappeared to?

These are the questions fans of The Blacklist were left to ponder over NBC's winter hiatus. Red (James Spader) will still be in the wind when the series picks up with "The Good Samaritan" killer, but Harold Cooper (Harry Lennix) has a cunning plan to try and bring the rouge criminal/informant back in.

Despite this, the hunt for Red is a low level priority compared to the search for the FBI's mole. Everyone that was present at the raid of the blacksite is a possible traitor, as far as Red is concerned, according to TV Guide, and the Bureau is busy with its own investigation into the matter.

These two active cases get pushed to the side, however, when a serial killer from Liz's (Megan Boone) past resurfaces. As the profiler attempts to track down her old nemesis, the Good Samaritan killer (Frank Whaley), Cooper is convinced Red will want to offer his assistance and he must reveal himself in order to do so.

Following the midseason premiere, episode 12 will be titled "Cyprus Agency," according to Spoiler TV, while Joe Carnahan just penned episode 13, "The Katana #99," according to a recent tweet from the screenwriter.
