NCAA Bowl Schedule 2014: College Football Games for December 31, New Years Day & Analysis [VIDEO]
New Year's Eve and New Year's Day will bring NCAA fans the hard-hitting action and high-pressure situations that make this time of the year one of the best for college football.
The 8 p.m. E.T. time slot is set to showcase what could possibly be the last game of Johnny Manziel's college career. The lightning rod quarterback for Texas A&M will take on Duke in the Chick-fil-A Bowl.
Ringing in the New Year, viewers will be treated to the widely popular Rose Bowl game, which will kickoff at 5 p.m. E.T., on Jan. 1. Michigan State will take on Stanford in the hopes of ending the Big Ten's recent Rose Bowl woes. Since 2000, the Big Ten has gone a measly 1-9 on the grand stage.
Following the Rose Bowl will be the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, which will pit the UCF Knights against the Baylor Bears. Each team finished with an 11-1 record this year and hope to show off what their programs can do on a national stage. UCF quarterback Blake Bortles will try to continue his college football dominance, after being looked over in the recruiting process.
New Year's Day will also feature, quite possibly, the only star that could rival Johnny Football's radiance, Jadeveon Clowney. Clowney will step foot on the college gridiron for the last time with South Carolina before hitting the draft. The Gamecocks will take on the Wisconsin Badgers at 1 p.m. E.T.
