While it's already common knowledge that actor James Brolin will be returning to reprise his role as Castle's (Nathan Fillion) dad, he'll also apparently be a suspect in a murder case on ABC's Castle.

The ABC network had put out the following information on the future episode, which will present the crime novelist with quite the shock of his life:

"The murder of a young video store clerk takes a strange turn when the team discovers his past history as a high-level hacker. But it's nothing compared to the shock Castle receives when their investigation leads them straight to his father, Jackson Hunt."

For the beginning of the respective installment, Brolin will actually be spending a brunt of his time with Castle's fiance, Beckett (Stana Katic).

However, only afterwards, will Castle reveal the truth about who his father really is to his future bride.
