Beyonce Cast for Animated Movie 'Epic'
Beyonce was cast as Queen Tara in the upcoming animated film "Epic" from the makers of "ice Age" and "Rio."
The move marks Beyonce's first movie project since giving birth to her daughter Blue Ivy Carter in January.
The film reportedly tells the story of a teenage girl that gets in the middle of a battle between good and evil.
Beyonce's co-stars include Josh Hutcherson, Amanda Seyfried, Colin Farrell, Johnny Knoxville, Aziz Ansari, Pitbull, Jason Sudeikis and Steven Tyler, according to Deadline.com.
The movie is directed by "Ice Age" director Chris Wedge and produced by 20th Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios. Is set for release May 24, 2013.
The singer performed her first set of concerts last weekend in Atlantic City since the birth of her daughter.
Among the guests were First Lady Michelle Obama and her two daughters as well as New Jersey governor Chris Christie.
